Wednesday, November 18, 2009 from 8:30 AM - 4:00 PM (CT)
We know that when child welfare supervision is improved, worker retention is improved, practice improves and better outcomes are achieved. In this effort, the Child Safety and Permanency Division (CSP) of Minnesota’s Department of Human Services is teaming with the Center for Advanced Studies in Child Welfare (CASCW) to host a one day conference to provide an introduction to a model and framework for child welfare supervision, developed by the National Resource Centers for Family-Centered Practice and Permanency Planning and Organizational Improvement. The conference will include a presentation on the use of strategic planning processes to improve child welfare supervision and an opportunity to hear directly from other states that have used these resources to improve their system of child welfare supervision. Assuming interest on the part of county agencies, CSP and CASCW are prepared to support the application of these models and processes in our state, with technical assistance from the National Resource Centers for Organizational Improvement and Child Welfare Data and Technology.
This conference is tailored to the specific needs of public (county) child welfare supervisors, managers and administrators.
